Once they were done with designing the front, they would cut out the jersey and work on the back design!

The back design would require them to include their own name/nickname/initials they fancy,

as well as their favourite number!

Having seen many different kinds of jerseys,

the Joy & Peace were now given

the opportunity to design their own!!

Ethan brought a card from Ocean Park Hong Kong. He said “it belongs to my auntie.”

Chanel strummed the guitar for her friends.

Kendrick found a calamansi fruit near his home. He told his friends that it dropped from a calamansi tree.

Lewisa showed off her ribbon and started twirling it around.

Jayne let her friends touch and play with her pink Minnie Mouse keychain.

Gavriel showed his friends how to blow a balloon.

Aarna pointed out the ears, cheeks and tail of her soft toy. The children identified these parts on their body…

“But we don’t have tails!’ they said!

Jing Yi brought a horse and that she sleeps with this soft toy. “Why is the tail black?” a classmate asked.

The children learned that horses can have different coloured horsehair.

Yatin brought a red toy car. He then opened all the doors and said “There are only 2!”

This is unlike the 4 door cars that the children are familiar with.

Mass Activity

We included an element of the Dog-and-bone game into our mass activity!

Instead of snatching the ‘bone’ when our number is called,

we were to take a ball, run towards the circle;

aim, and throw the ball into 1 of the 9 boxes.

1. Splitting up into groups and numbering ourselves

2. Pick a ball, run to the circle and aim to throw the ball into the boxes when our number is called!

More than 1 number can be called!



It was great to see the older ones keeping track and helping the younger ones

to remember their allocated numbers, reminding them that it was their turn to go.

Joy & Peace

Split into 2 groups with 5 empty boxes, we were tasked to strategize and

place the boxes into a rectangular box drawn at the courtyard.


Around the rectangular box, crosses (X) are marked out.

Taking turns, we can choose any of the crosses; stand on it, and aim to throw the ball

into the boxes in the rectangular box!



For the Peace class, we had a competition using a scoring system.

1 point was given for each ball scored in the bigger brown box.

2 points were given for each ball scored in the smaller A4 box.
