Internal Progression Support SchemeThis scheme is available to support current Level 3 students who wish to stay on and study at degree level at either Guildford College or Merrist Wood College.
The terms of this scheme are as follows:
1. To be eligible, you must be progressing from a full two-year Level 3 qualification OR a one-year Access to HE qualification (completing in 2016/17) at Guildford College, Merrist Wood College or Farnham Sixth Form College to a prescribed Higher Education course (Higher Nationals or Degrees) at Guildford College or Merrist Wood College starting in September 2017.
2. The award is not means-tested. It is available to all who meet the conditions in (1).
3. The award has a nominal monetary value of up to £750 which can only be spent on items from the approved list distributed with this document. There is no cash award – although you may also be entitled to a separate means-tested cash bursary which will be advertised during the year.
4. Items will be made available after your enrolment in October 2017.
5. Items remain the property of the College until you complete your first year of Higher Education study. Items must be returned to the HE Dept if you leave the course in your first year. On completion of your first year once signed off by the Director of HE, the items become your property.
6. Items listed may be replaced by equivalents due to stock and model availability. Prices may have changed before enrolment, and you will be advised of any significant changes.
7. An award cannot be deferred to 2018/19. Applicants must reapply if the scheme is still available for that academic year.
8. The College IT Dept will not offer ongoing support for any items awarded during this scheme. They may at their discretion offer informal advice on performance issues or warranty but reserve the right to advise recipients to deal directly with suppliers.
