The oldest Post Box in Ireland is also located in Kent Station’s main concourse. Visit the unique collection of World Railway Plaques in the Travel Centre on platform 4 and see Locomotive # 36, dating from 1847 and on permanent display in Kent Station since 1950.

Kent Station-City Centre Feeder Bus Service:A frequent bus service (Route #205), departs Kent Station, Cork approx every 15 minutes for Cork City Centre – serving Parnell Bus Station, Patrick’s Street, Washington Street, College Road (UCC & Bon Secours Hospital), Dennehy’s Cross, Model Farm Road (Cork University Hospital) and Rossa Avenue Bishopstown (CIT).

Fota Station – only 10 minutes by commuter train from Cobh on the Cobh-Cork rail line and the stop for the World Famous Fota Wildlife Park. Celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary in 2013, Fota Wildlife Park has a special entrance at Fota Railway Station, and is set on 70 acres - the heart of Cork Harbour.

Also on Fota Island is Fota House, Gardens & Arboretum - an architectural masterpiece, a treasure house of art and a place for people to visit and enjoy – a short walk from Fota Railway Station.

Take the train from Cork to Midleton and you will find yourself in the middle of the thriving town of Midleton, the heart of East Cork. Just 23 minutes by commuter train from Kent Station - Midleton Station was restored to its original Victorian style when the Cork-Midleton Line re-opened in July 2009. While in Midleton a visit the World Famous Jameson Experience & Heritage Centre is a must – just a short walk from Midleton Station.

New For 2014.New Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) have been installed at Cobh Station. These TVMs accept Euro coins, €5, €10, and €20 notes - and give change in coins. Credit Cards with Chip & Pin facilities are also accepted. TVMs will not accept €50 notes unless the purchase is more than €32.00.
