The Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) is a leading society that integrates multiple disciplines and professions interested in nutrition. Formed in 2010 after a merger between the Canadian Society for Clinical Nutrition and the Canadian Society for Nutritional Sciences, the CNS aims to further nutrition as an important factor in maintaining health, and preventing and treating disease. Working with partners and sponsors in pursuit of the CNS mission is an important strategy. The CNS believes that by working in collaboration with the food and nutrition industry, medical and clinical nutrition industry, research funding agencies and other non-‐government organizations, we can offer expertise and an independent point of view in the most responsible way possible.
The CNS Annual Conference A forum for the presentation of scientific research spanning basic, regulatory/policy, clinical and community nutrition research, the CNS Annual Conference offers an exceptional learning environment. Nutrition experts, opinion leaders, industry representatives, government officials, and future leaders come together to learn, share research and ideas, along with determining how to improve nutrition practices and policies through collaboration and open communication.
