OLYMPIAD
In order to develop academic skills and competence in learners, VBS organises Olympiad for all
subjects every year. The motive is to grow our learners in a way that their Knowledge complies
with international standards. The school witnessed maximum student participation in the year 2018
Olympiad. The encouraging results are a proof of step taken in the right direction for the holistic
development of the children. The result of English and Science Olympiad is already declared by

WORKSHOP ON INCLUSION AND INCLUSIVE STRATEGIES
In order to sensitize the modern day educationist towards the concept of ‘Inclusion’ in classrooms,
CBSE had organized a two day comprehensive and interactive workshop which emphasized on the
right of every individual to education and genuine equalization of opportunities.

To discuss the meaning and importance of inclusion in our regular classrooms
To explore the factors limiting its implementation and methods to overcome for its successful functioning in our classrooms.
To develop a will in the hearts of teachers to welcome the concept and be ready to understand and cater to the students with special needs.
To update the mentors regarding the technicalities of various disabilities, how to identify them and to whom should one approach for further guidance.
To upgrade the participants about the importance of flexible learning environments that can accommodate individual learning differences.
Highlights The workshop was a successful attempt to sensitize the participants about the concept of inclusive education so that it can be further multiplied and accepted positively and wholeheartedly. All the aspects from acceptance to difficulties, ways and strategies to overcome the problems in its implementation in the regular classroom scenario, guidelines, Infrastructure and equipment requirements, were discussed interactively. The orator emphasized that inclusion and participation are essential to human dignity and to the enjoyment and exercise of human rights. Analysis It was all in all an interactive and informative session which ignited the spirit of acceptance and inclusion in the minds of participants. It developed them to understand the importance of flexible learning environments and work effectively towards the implementation of inclusive strategies.
‘PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA 2.0’
Date and venue Online competition on ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0’ was conducted on 16th January 2019 in Language Lab of the school.
Agenda The Objective of this online competition was to motivate students of class 9 to 12, to
showcase their creativity by suggesting caption on given image and writing about ‘Exam Warriors’ book. 18 Students of Grade 9 and11 participated under the guidance of Ms. Tanu Sardana.
Highlights
The quiz commenced with the instructions that students had to follow. -Catchy Caption Contest: Students showcased their creativity by suggesting a caption for the image provided in the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0 Contest. -I am Inspired Contest: In this student wrote about one instance or situation where somethingfrom 'Exam Warriors' inspired them to deal with a situation or do something different. They participated with great enthusiasm.
COFFEE MORNING WITH PARENTS
Vidya Bharati School organized a Coffee Morning in the school premises on 20th January 2019. It
was an initiative to apprise parents about the school functioning, parent’s roles in the grooming of
their ward and what is happy parenting. A healthy interaction happened where the reason behind
the performance of the children was meticulously pondered and remedies were suggested to horn
their skills. Discussion on quality time was held in detail where parents were shared with the
importance of their valuable time for their children. Various Activities were done in the workshop to
clear the picture that the revision of every topic at home is must to do at their place as this will help
students to retain it for a long time. To conclude, parents and school both have to work
collaboratively for the betterment of the students. Parents really appreciated the efforts made by
the school and wanted to have such kind of interaction frequently in the future so as to build a
strong bond between parents and teachers.
TAE-KWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP AT ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL
At VBS, we believe that physical fitness is extremely crucial for the development of mental
strength, positive attitude and overall wellbeing of students. Vidya Bharati School emphasizes on
the holistic development of its learner with a great focus on physical fitness through ‘Martial Arts’.
As a result of which we have a strong Tae-Kwon-Do team that has won many accolades for the
school in the past.
In an attempt to continue its winning spree, the team had participated in competition organised in
St. Francis School on 20th January 2019. Over 250 students participated from 20 Schools. Among
these extremely skilled participants, our team bagged 6 gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals and
made the school proud of its achievements. Through the vigorous training by our coach Mr.
Shekhar Chauhan the team has proved its mettle.

The matter was shared by the resource person for the benefit.
Role play was conducted to understand the concept. Analysis It was an informative session for our students.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (2019)
The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Vidya Bharati School on
26th January 2019. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school
which began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by honourable General Secretary Dr. Alam Ali
Sisodia.
The choir group presented a patriotic song which was followed by a beautiful folk dance from
Himachal. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. The
school echoed with patriotic fervour as the students of primary sections, who were dressed as
freedom fighters and soldiers to mark the occasion, were given a platform to perform on lines of
few freedom fighters thus felt proud to be an Indian. This reminded the students of the sacrifices
made by the freedom fighters and great soldiers.
General Secretary - Dr. Alam Ali Sisodia, Principal - Dr. Manjusha Joshi and General Manager -
Mr. Narendra Singh also acknowledged and felicitated winners of English Olympiad on this
momentous occasion. An air of patriotic fervour permeated the atmosphere. The students were
dispersed after National Anthem with the image of the fluttering tri colour in their minds.
V.B.S. TAE-KWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP - II
Venue : VIDYA BHARATI SCHOOL Date : 27January 2019 Timing : 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Age & Weight Categories : Under -10 (18 Kg. – 40 Kg.) Under-12 (28 Kg. – 45 Kg.) Under-14 (42 Kg. – above 60 Kg.) Under-17 (45 Kg. – above 71 Kg.) V.B.S. Tae-Kwon-do Championship- II was hosted in the school campus with great pomp and show.
Around 300 students of Grade-III to XI from 20 different schools / academies across Delhi / NCR
participated under the above-mentioned categories.
A great interest was observed among the participants and their Instructors. The occasion was graced by
eminent Taekwondo champion of international acclaim ‘Mr. Abdul Mobin Khan’. He was honoured with
Taekwondo memento. He praised the event and emphasized on physical fitness integrated and mental
peace which can be achieved through practicing Taekwondo. The programme started with inspirational
speech of Mr. H. Mann Senior Physical Education Teacher - Sports Department of the school which was
followed by ribbon cutting ceremony by honourable Principal – Dr. Manjusha Joshi, General Manager - Mr.
Narender Singh, and Chief Guest Mr. Abdul Mobin Khan.
After a tough series of fighting Vasundhara Taekwondo Academy was declared the clear winner.Vidya
Bharati School and Khatri Taekwondo academy were declared First and Second Runner Up respectively.
The winners were awarded medals and certificates for their meritorious performances.
The Championship concluded with vale victory ceremony where all the participants received a Participation
Certificate. The Instructors and referees were also felicitated for their contribution.

INTER HOUSE AD MAD SHOW
Date & Venue : 30.01.2019, SCHOOL AUDITORIUM.
Demonstrator & Presenter : Students of Grade IV and V.
Agenda: Ad Mad Show is an ‘Advertisement making competition’ for students to showcase
their creativity in Marketing products and services. The Ad Mad Show competition
is the perfect platform to showcase that you have the knack to advertise, to win
hearts and to initiate a thinking process among children so they can differentiate
numerous products available in the market.
Highlights: The excitement level of the children reached sky high while preparing for the
contest. They not only showcased their acting skills but also shown their ability to
use the cognitive skills. All the houses came up with exhilarating performance.
Only a few are blessed by the talent of effective advertising and to add humour
into this.
Analysis: Students created innovative advertisements on Toiletries, Food, Hair oil, etc. The
ads had excellent input of humour. All the participants were talented. They had
unusual ideas and exhibited an amazing show with innovative props and
costumes, Students had shown various products we consume in our daily life. It
was a good confidence building exercise for the children and was thoroughly
enjoyed by all.

VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Building vocabulary is an important requirement to help children enhance their speaking and
writing skills. With this objective in mind, the school conducts Vocabulary Enrichment Program
every month for Grade I to VIII. Learning of new words and phrases along with their synonym and
antonym, helps in widening the vocabulary base of a child. Students enthusiastically took part in
the program and enjoyed while they learn. Students showed keen interest in learning new words. It
is a fun experience for the students as the methodology incorporated is designed in a way that they
have an enjoyable time while learning the nuances of the English language. Students are excited
to learn more and improve their grasp on the language. Students who perform well are selected as
‘Gems of Vocabulary’ and get badges for the same.
MATHS WORKSHOP : FIRSTHAND STEM EDUCATION WORKSHOP
Date & Venue : PHYSICS LAB, VIDYA BHARATI SCHOOL.
A Maths workshop was organised for Maths teachers on January 31st Jan 2019
Demonstrator & Presenter:
The workshop was demonstrated and presented by FIRST HAND STEP EDUCATION.
Agenda:
The agenda was to Maths Activities kits for classes IV to VIII and to develop a vision among
teachers to provide students with hand on experience of whatever they study in classrooms and
see in their daily life.
Highlights:
The Resource person had demonstrated several activities kits and conducted different activities
using them like Solid shapes cut outs, Algebric Identities, LCM, HCF etc. Activity kits were
designed to involve students in learning process completely to nurture their curiosity for common
phenomenon occurring in their surroundings.
Analysis:
It is a creative initiative by first hand step education to provide hand on experience to the students.
The whole concept is based on experiential learning which provides a good retention of concepts
and foster cognitive processes among students.

A Science workshop was organised for Science Teachers on January 31st, 2019.
Demonstrator & Presenter:
The workshop was demonstrated and presented by FIRST HAND STEPEDUCATION.
Agenda:
The agenda was to develop Science practical kits for classes 1st to 9th and to develop a vision
among teachers to provide students with hand on experience of whatever they study in classrooms
and perceive in their daily life.
Highlights:
The Resource person had demonstrated several practical kits and conducted different
experiments using them. The kits were designed to involve students in learning process
completely to nurture their curiosity for common phenomenon occurring in their surroundings.
Analysis:
It is a creative inventiveness by first hand step education to provide hand on experience to the
students. The whole concept is based on experiential learning which provides a good retention of
concepts and foster cognitive processes among students.
