Ø For the current model, the child must have full back and hip extension, but adaptations can be made

A fun, lightweight, zippy mobility device developed by a parent!

Children who have…. ü Spina Bifida ü SCI ü Missing Lower Limbs ü Low Tone ü Cerebral Palsy ü Certain Genetic Disorders

WHAT SETS THE FROG APART FROM OTHER DEVICES

ü The position of the wheels can be adjusted to require more or less arm strength to move based on the child’s needs

INTERESTED TO KNOW MORE?

THE FROG

Ø Positions lumbar spine and hips in extension. Especially beneficial for children who spend a significant amount of time in posterior pelvic tilt with hips flexed (i.e. sitting in a wheelchair)

Ø Strengthens upper extremities and shoulder girdle muscles, as well as trunk extensors

Ø Encourages child to lift head against gravity

Ø Allows child to explore and develop sense of curiosity about their environment independently

Ø Offers opportunity to move and develop skills in prone, especially in children with LE paralysis

Ø Improves cardiopulmonary endurance

Ø Facilitates peer interaction and social development

Ø Can apply electrical stimulation while child is on the Frog

Ø Requires little strength to move because the device is light and easily maneuverable

Ø Provides vestibular input due to linear speed and being able to turn in circles
