Hasselblad makes history

50th anniversary of the moon landingWhen Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969 people were able to see the first people ever place their foot on its surface, it was a historic event.

Two of the three stamp motifs on the minisheet come from photographs taken with a Hasselblad camera. A Hasselblad camera was used during all the moon landings between 1969 and 1972. Pictures of the moon – but also of the earth – as we’ve never seen them before.

EUROPA – National birds

BlackbirdThis year all members of PostEurop are issuing EUROPA stamps on the theme of national birds.

Voted Sweden’s national bird for the second time, the blackbird remains unchallenged as our most beloved bird. Perhaps part of its attraction is its beautiful, slight-ly melancholic song, and the fact that it can be found everywhere, often close to where people are.

The blackbird nests in cities, in the countryside and in the forest. Today we may come across it throughout Sweden, with the exception of the mountainous regions.
