Permanent Supportive HousingPlaced 733 (281 single adults and 452 total family

members) highly vulnerable, chronically homeless people in apartments throughout the District. Our PSH case

managers provide continued support to empower them to achieve personal goals for recovery, health, financial

stability, family re-unification, work and social well-being. Our PSH programs have a housing retention rate of 99%.

Street OutreachServed 117 individuals living on the street, connecting them to services, hygiene kits, and daily necessities.

Veterans ServicesOur award-winning Veterans First program prevented or

ended homelessness for 562 veterans and their family members throughout DC and eight surrounding counties.

Job PlacementUsing an innovative “employment first” fast-track

approach, placed 81 people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness into jobs with an average starting pay rate

of $15.22/hour. An additional 129 people gained jobs through employment services that are integrated into our

housing programs.

Drop-in CenterHosted 1,025 visitors at our Welcome Center, providing a place of refuge from the street where anyone can find assistance obtaining housing and vital documents as well

as gain access to essentials such as food, mail, and survival/hygiene kits.

Free ClinicProvided 270 free medical or psychiatric consultations.

Youth and Young Adult Services Provided developmentally-informed supportive

services and counseling to 53 homeless and at-risk 17-to-29 year olds in our Before Thirty program, placing

22 into housing. Conducted street outreach to 280 runaway, homeless and at-risk 17-to-24 year olds through

our Youth Connect program, distributing 280 survival/hygiene kits, and conducting 65 housing intakes.

Transitional HousingIn partnership with area congregations, Friendship Place operated three small, home-like transitional shelters and provided 25 men and women with a safe place to stay

while rebuilding their lives.
