Traveling This Summer?

If you have travel plans in your future here are a few ways to access funds for your trip:

Debit Card

If you currently have a debit card remember to let us know your travel plans. We will put a travel alert on your card so we are aware that there could be transactions outside of your normal shopping area. Also, please make sure we have your current phone numbers in case we would need to reach you. We rec-ommend that you save our phone number, 319-895-8835, and the phone number on the back of your debit card, 1-800-383-8000 (for a non-banking hours contact), on your cell phone. This gives you a fast and easy way to contact us if your card is lost or stolen.

If you currently do not have a debit card and would like one, stop in and we can get a card issued for you while you wait.

Credit Cards

Mount Vernon Bank offers several Visa or American Express options and our Customer Service Representatives would be glad to talk about these with you. Plan ahead as it can take 7 to 10 business days to get a card to you.

Travel Cards

We offer a Visa Travel Card for those who don’t have a debit card or for those that would prefer not to use their debit card while travel-ing. The cost for the card is $9.95. You pre-load the card with whatever amount you would like, up to $5,000.00, and use it just like a debit card. You are able to add additional funds to the card once every 30 days. There are other fees with the card so please ask so we can get you the full disclosure.

Cash

Do take some cash with you. There are times when there may be a glitch with the comput-ers/processing systems and they are tempo-rarily out of service. Although, for safety, we do recommend limiting the amount of cash you take with you.
