Write the sentence and underline the prepositional phrase from that sentence. Circle (O) the object of the preposition and underline the preposition twice.
1. Penguins live at the South Pole.
2. The students slept during the speech.
Rewrite the sentence, adding a prepositional phrase to each. Underline the prepositional phrase.

3. Take Cornell Notes on each module.

1. Open lesson.2. Take Cornell Notes.3. Be sure to take notes and study lesson for 10
minutes.4. Take practice test. If 80% or higher, you may take
the mastery test. If you have questions on the material, see Mrs. Williams.
5. If you pass mastery test, get signature on module log and notes.If you fail mastery test, go to step 2. Add to
existing notes in a red pen. Proceed down the list.
A minimum of 15 mastered modules are due this
quarter. A completion grade and average for modules will
be taken this quarter.

Number your paper 1 to 5. Each of the following groups of words contains a prepositional phrase. After each number, write the propositional phrase. Underline the preposition and circle its object.Example: 1. the dish on the tableYou’d write: 1. on the table.
