o Little Hands Music – Join us on a musical adventure into the land of color and song! We’ll sing, dance, play, and create! Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement/Tumbling – 2 and 3 year olds 8:30-9:00 a.m. Theme based classes take children on a movement adventure! Classes include warm-up, pre-ballet, creative movement incorporating motor skills while exploring the elements of dance. Developmental Gymnastics includes tumbling on a mat and obstacle course sequencing. The program includes CDC's annual show, with costumes at no additional expense to the parents.

Ballet & Jazz Basics – 4-6yrs 9:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. This first half of this class is a magical way to expose your child to the world of ballet! The children will learn all the fundamentals of ballet. The second half of this class, children will learn the basics of Jazz dance. Designed to instill the love of dance in the young dancer, this entire class will introduce concepts of listening, moving through space, and co-operating with others within a creative dance framework with use of current, appropriate music and terminology. The program includes CDC's annual show, with costumes at no additional expense to the parents.

o Kids Yoga – A new 6 week session has started and will run through October 6th at the Community Center. The classes have merged into one: Ages 3-6, Thursdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m.. The cost is $60/session. For more info visit: www.AshburnKidsYoga.com or email [email protected].

o Adult Yoga – Evening Yoga Flow from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Community Center. Unwind after work with a flow practice that will stretch, relax, and energize you! A limited number of spaces are left for the new co-ed youth running program in Brambleton. The 8-week program runs September 14 - November 2, 2011 culminating in group participation in a local 5k race or 1 mile fun run. Training practices will be held: Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Elementary track, and optional group runs: Sundays, 3:00 p.m. All paid registrants will receive a Kids Run the Nation t-shirt. TALK OF THE TOWN CENTER Bella Ballerina Registration – Starting Tuesday, September 13th, Bella Ballerina will be holding registration from the Brambleton Welcome Center (42395 Ryan Road) until their studio opens in October. Registration hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. They will be able to register students, as well as

Briar Woods High School Band TAG DAY Fundraiser – Tomorrow, September 10th *****DIG DEEP, THESE YOUNG PEOPLE PLAY FOR BRAMBLETON!***** Briar Woods High School Band’s Annual “Tag Day” in Ashburn is Saturday, September 10th. Briar Woods Band members will be visiting homes in Brambleton to collect donations for BWHS music programs. This yearly fundraiser not only helps pay for instruction and equipment, but it also supports our Briar Woods Band as it performs at home and competes across the region. 100% of your donation goes directly to our music programs. The Dulles South Alliance has partnered with South Riding Proprietary to host the 2011 Candidate Forum on September 13 at Freedom High School at 7:00 p.m. Candidates for Loudoun County Ridge and Broad Run districts have been invited to attend. Registration for the 2011-2012 Two Ridges Basketball League for players and coaches continues through September 11. T2RBL is a youth basketball organization that operates in coordination with the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PR&CS) and serves boys and girls in grades 4-12 in our community. T2RBL provides organized and competitive basketball with emphasis placed on improvement for all players, coaches and officials. T2RBL is supported and run entirely by volunteers so coaches must also
