Monday’s SRC Mufti Fundraiser Day “Come dressed as your Superhero”! Karangi PS raised $94.45. Thank you for your support. As we wrap up term 2 we reflect on all the wonderful activities our staff and students have engaged in across Semester 1. There have been a number of sporting events at school, Orara Valley and District level including Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country. Years 3 – 6 have also participated in the Orara Valley Gala Days in Oz Tag and Soccer and years 5 & 6 travelled to the Great Aussie Bush Camp as part of the Orara Valley Stage 3 excursion. All students combined as an Orara Valley Community of Schools for Harmony Day coordinated by Ulong Public School, selected students from years 4- 6 participated in an Orara Valley Debating enrichment program and Years 5/6 engaged in a range of lessons at Orara High School. The school held their ANZAC service and participated in the Coffs Harbour ANZAC service. All years 3 and 5 participated in NAPLAN and the school engaged in iPlay to support student fitness and fundamental movement skills. These are but a few of the engaging and extracurricular activities we participated in. STEM and project based learning was evident in all classes and focus groups began experimenting with coding. Student reports were sent home this week and parent teacher interviews for classes K/1, 1/ and 4/5/6 are scheduled for term 3 week 2. We are utilising SENTRAL for parents to book time slots. A letter went home with student reports explaining the process. If you have any difficulties please contact the teacher or office in week 1 next term. Have a fabulous holiday, stay safe and we will see your wonderful children back on Tuesday 24 th July. The volunteers work with individual student doing reading, sight words and word attack skills. The program is very

prescriptive and well set out. Each student will take approximately 30 minutes to complete their session. All the resources are provided for the volunteer and the student.
