Celebrations celebrated different aspects of the city as a whole. This meant we were able to offer a more diverse programme of activities and events than ever before.

Once again the Festivities were able to attract artists and speakers of undisputed international standing – Carol Ann Duffy, The Tallis Scholars, Stopgap Dance Company, YolanDa Brown, Antony Beevor, Lucy Hawking, artists from the London Mozart Players and the Young Classical Artist Trust to name but a few – and create new work for Portsmouth.
