Friday 17 February – Term One Week 3, 2017 Tena ra koutou ki nga hau e wha – Greetings to everybody.
Thank you to all of those parents who came in for parent teacher interviews. We appreciate the information you share with teachers to support your child’s learning. It does help when we know a bit about their interests and experiences, and what is happening in their lives right now. All of our teachers are amazing, dedicated, creative teachers who work extremely hard to provide learning opportunities that are effective and engaging for our children. These first few weeks at school have been about establishing routines and learning about each child’s strengths and learning needs. Although a lot of information is passed on from previous teachers, this time of building relationships is important. Please email, or arrange to talk with your child’s teacher if you have any concerns. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend. Naku Noa Rob Posthumus

Holidays in N.Z. Listen to the waves oh breaking,
In the water Dad is shaking,
Blue skies are stretched across the land,
All in Ranginuiʼs hand,
Hear the flip-flopping of the jandal,
And the seldom bach screeching handle,
Run across the scorching sand,
To the sea and off the land,
Playing cricket on the beach,
Reading James and the Giant Peach,
All of this right under the sun,
What do you know, it makes Kiwi Summer fun!
