Tardies
7 minute passing time before the tardy bell rings
After tardy bell, report to any office for a pass to class
Progressive penalties for continued tardies per class each semester
Tardies / Absences
If 10 minutes late, counts as an absence
Periods 2 & 6 absence after 20 minutes
Send a note after an absence
and may be excused

Excused absences require notes
based on 5 reasons:
Personal Illness
Death in the family
Religious Day
School sponsored activity
Court appearance
Absences
Make up Work
See each teacher on the day of return
Teachers have individual policies
Student responsibility to get work
Reasonable amount of time to complete work
Credit Appeal
Passing a class does not guarantee credit will be awarded….
If more than 2 or 3* unexcused absences are earned in any class, credit will be denied for the semester.
* Depends on the length of the semester
Leaving Campus Early
Send a note before school or fax a letter:
Include a phone number where the parent or guardian may be reached to verify note
Time and reason student is leaving
Parent's signature
The parent /guardian must report to the Assigned Office and present a photo ID before the student is released
Leaving Campus Early
Students will not be released without parent or guardian verification. Once verified, student picks up pass in Assigned Office prior to leaving.
If the reason for leaving school is other that those listed in the handbook as excused, the absence will be considered unexcused.
Uniform Policy
Student out of dress code is suspended for 1 day and parent is expected to pick them up
If student can get into uniform, a principal will make a decision
Number of offenses are charted and consulted when making a decision

State Credit – Applies toward the 26 credits needed to graduate
Local Credit – Does not count toward the 26 credits to graduate.
