Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a swimming pool or ice arena for a private party?Yes. To book exclusive use of a swimming pool, please call the facility directly. The front desk staff will provide rental availability and pricing. To book exclusive use of an ice arena, contact the Facility Booking staff at 905-771-8870 or booking@richmondhill.ca.

Do I need parents to go into the pool for a Leisure Pool Party Package, even though you have Lifeguards?All children 15 and younger, require adult supervision. Children 10 and younger, must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian. For more details, refer to Group Swim Ratio Requirements listed below Wave Pool Party Packages on the inner flap of this flyer.

Can I book additional time in the gym or party room?Yes. Additional time can be booked in the gym or party room at the rates listed at RichmondHIll.ca/FacilityRental,if available

Do all the party packages include a party host/hostess?Each party package description indicates

whether a staff member will host or instruct a portion of the party.

Can I decorate the room? How much time do I have to decorate?Yes. You will be given access to the party room for 15 minutes prior to the party for free set-up time. Decorations on the walls of the party room are permitted; however, staples, nails and tacks are not permitted.

Who cleans up after the party?You are responsible for the clean-up of the party room, ensuring that all rented facilities and properties are left in the same clean and orderly condition as when initially entered.

Can I have an outside company come in and entertain or bring in an event company?Yes. Any outside equipment being used in the facility must be approved by the Town of Richmond Hill.

Do all the party packages include invites?All party packages include up to 20 party invitations with maps to your party location.

Swimming Party All Ages

Guests will have a splash at this party! Swim together at any of one of Richmond Hill’s pool facilities.

Locations: Bayview Hill Pool, Centennial Pool, Elgin West Pool, Oak Ridges Pool, Richvale PoolGuests: 20 admissions into the scheduled public Leisure Swim prior to your scheduled party room time. Wave Swim Party All Ages

Guests will enjoy splashing through big waves. The Wave Pool has a 100 ft waterslide with rainbow effects, translucent sections and a step out finish.

Group Swim Ratio RequirementsAdult (ages 16 and older) supervision is required in the following ratios:

Ages 5 and younger: maximum two children per in-water supervising adult

Ages 6 to 9:maximum four children per in-water supervising adult

Ages 10 to 15:maximum eight children per on-deck (in swimming attire) supervising adult

Supervising adults must be in bathing attire at all times. Additional admissions may be purchased on the day of your party.

Bubble Soccer Party Ages 13 – 17

Bounce around and tackle your friends in an air filled bubble while playing soccer – guaranteed to be a good time!

Video Game Party Ages 8 – 14

Guests will enjoy playing the latest G-rated games for Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. You can book a casual play party or a tournament-style party.

Mother Goose Party Ages 2 – 5

Enjoy a party with crafts and activities. They will also listen to a number of Mother Goose nursery rhymes.

Victorian Tea Party Ages 5 – 12

It’s par-tea time! Children will make crafts and then enjoy some finger sandwiches, cookies and a secret “fairy tea”.

FireFighter Party Ages 3 – 10

Have a party at a fire station with Richmond Hill firefighters. Kids will learn about fire trucks, fire safety and firefighting. They will also play firefighter birthday games.

Bonfi re Bash Party Ages 6 – 14

Guests will be sitting around a campfire celebrating. A host will build and maintain a fire and run campfire activities and games. Food will be provided for a maximum of 15 guests.
