1. Locking sets n° 4408 and 4408B1.1. General
characteristics
• The locking sets n° 4408 and 4408B are used in the second vent
of a double side hung open in window without mullion but with an
intermediate section. This in combination with side hung open in
windows, turn-tilt windows or tilt-turn windows. The top and bottom
bolt are operated by a concealed lockcase and grip.
• The bolts are non-handed.
• All parts are made of non-corroding materials.
• The centre of the lockcase is mounted 150 mm lower than the
centre of the handle on the side hung open in window, turn-tilt
window or tilt-turn window.
• Size range: - vent width: max. 1400 mm - vent height: 700-2400
mm - vent weight: max. 90 kg
• Special dimensions on request!
• One system suitable for profiles with frame groove width from
10 to 14 mm. See table below.

2. High security locking set SALTO SAFE 44282.1. General
characteristics
• To make your french casement windows extra secure against
burglary, you should use the high security system SALTO SAFE
4428.
• The following sets are mounted depending on the window
dimensions: - base set n° 4428 for vent height Fh=900-2400 mm and
vent width Fb=540-1200 mm - horizontal centre locking set n°
4428-35 for vent width Fb=1200-1400 mm
• The set contains the following special parts: - stainless
steel mushroom head bolts pre-riveted to zinc alloy connection
pieces, which are connected to the SALTO components and rods in the
vent section.
- zinc alloy security wedges which are fixed to the frame
section with clamping plates and self-drilling screws.
- anti-lift pins mounted on the hinge side of the vent.
• All parts are made of non-corroding materials.
• Size range: - vent width: 540-1400 mm - vent height: 900-2400
mm - vent weight: max. 90 kg
• Special dimensions on request!
• This system is suitable for sections with the following
dimensions.

3. Hinges• The hinges are the same shape as the turn-tilt
hinges. Both turn-tilt windows and side hung open in
windows can be placed next to one another with the advantage of
having the same appearance.
• Finish of all hinges: aluminium anodised or polyester powder
coated (more than 450 RAL colours).

Locking sets n° 4408 or 4408B+ SALTO SAFE 4428
• The systems for french casement windows are made of
non-corroding materials. The set should not be installed in
corrosive atmospheres.
• Sobinco cannot be held responsible for the malfunctioning of
the systems if any non-Sobinco parts are used.
• Surface treatment of vent and frame must take place before
assembly of the set, as this will affect the working of the
gear.
• Glazing must be in accordance with national standards.
• The window and gear should be kept clean and lubricated in
accordance with our maintenance instructions (copy available on
request).
