    In March, 1968, on his thifjd trip to the U. S., Brother Joan lfe[rc Methot and histraveling companion, George Bourbonnais, traveled through several states. Both men were quite weary and Bro. Methot was suffering with a severecold. In spite of that, he spoke on Sunday morning, then he, George, and the QuebecMission committee met for a pitch-in dinner, a business meeting and discussion of theQuebec work for the ba lanc e o f the afternoon. In the evening, Mr, Methot spoke a tthe Cumberland, Ind. Christian Church, where he was well received, and on Monday,af ter a vis i t to t he doc to r, he started h is retu rn tr ip home.Following are excerpts from Bro. Methot's report dated April 1^:"Dear Christian Friends: I9m sorry to be so late in giving you some news. First ofall , I must say how I did enjoy my itinerary throughout the Christian churches or theChurches of Christ I was privileged to visit during the month of March in the U.S.A.1 met hundreds of Christians really concerned about the French work in Canada. Ihope to be in a position to keep them duly posted or informed through a regular newslet ter concerning our activities on tho missionary field.When I got home, a long distance call from Quebec City reached us that my oldestbrother, Maurice, had been trapped under his t ractor for 12 hours on Tuesday, April2 from 8 A.M. t i l l 8:15 P.M. in a creek. The tractor fe l l over him and he was caughtin under i t , in the cold water up to the ears. When he was found at night ho washalf frozen, but s t i l l alive. He was taken to the hospital at 4rthabaska in an emergency. And i t took a couple of days to unfreeze him. Then, he was able to recognizethose who vis i ted him but unable to hold a conversat ion.Finally, after some days of terr ible s^fering, he passed away on Sunday afternoon,April 7, by 3 P.M. He was 6l He is leaving belund a wife and 3 children, all ofthem R, Cs.Now, here are some more interesting news that are going to be a blessing to yourhea r t ;

    w '(1) We did begin to hold scane meetings in Lachute on Sunday; this implies the Lord'sSupper, o f c ou rs e.

    (2) We are going to arrange to have seme meetings in Montebello and Thurso.(3) We are going to resume our door-to-door vis itat ion this week following Easter.This means tha t we11 have to make about 400 and 500 miles per week.(^) On April 13, 1968 we were most happy to attend the ordination service of ourbrother, Henri Moreau, the minister of th e Poin t St. Charles Fir s t Christ ianChurch. About 100 people were in attendance. I t took place in Montreal, Que.(5) We are expecting for some time in May a young couple from Moberly, Mo. I metthis young man at Moberly Bible College when I spoke out there on March 5 1968.He is a student and a convert fi-om Romanism. We had supper at their home ands tayed overnight. We had a real good time with them. They have a l i t t l e boy.This couple plans to come up and evangelize the English-speaking peqple of this

    part of Canada-for a couple of months7~^They plan t o r ^W" th ei r o ^ ^ppoH^,^ "We have a larger missionary field for them. I t ' s Mr. and Mrs. David DeVild^r,423 McKiiiley, Moberly, Missouri 65270.We also have another couple interested in coming up this way by next June. I t ' sand Mrs, George Griff. Right now they a re s ta tioned at Cardin, Okla. I metthem on March 14 and 15 when I spoke there, George Bourboxitiais and I had a goodtime with them. Mr. Griff i s a student a t Ozark Bible College. I t was a realblessing to witness their official dedication to the Lwrd's work during MissionsEmphasis Week at Ozark Bible College, Joplin, Mo. For i t was really challengingto see Mr. Griff, his wife and Mr. Geo. Bourbonnais going forward to dedicatethemselves to the Lord's missionary work. Mr. and Mrs. Griff are ministering tothe Christian Church of Cardin, Ckla., 7^335 (P.O. Box 428.) They have a nicel i t t le gir l . They are a lso rai sing their own support.

    In closing, I like to mention this as a challenging appeal to the American ChristiansQuebec, the very heart of French Canada, was fo\inded by Chait5)lain in l608. This is360 years ago. Quebec was next floor t^o theaU.S.A. where there are thousands of Bible,believing Christians who are living under very good conditions, both spiritually and
