French Acoustical Society honors GillesDaigle
Gilles Daigle of the CNR Canada, a Fellow of theSociety, wasawarded the 2002 Me´daille Etrange`re by the French Acoustical Societ~S.F.A.!. This medal, formerly known as the Silver Medal, is presented oa year to an outstanding acoustician outside France. Gill Daigle is theNorth American recipient of the medal. The others are L. Beranek 1966G. Mayer 1988; G. Weinreich 1991; O. B. Wilson 1992; H. U¨ berall 1996;and H. Levine 1998.
