Recap of Day 5 EventsIt was another active day for Team Nova Scotia at the Games yesterday. Wheelchair basketball played hard and won their second game in a row. They defeated AB with a score of 77-55. Chris Wade had 36 points and 14 rebounds. Nice win, Nova Scotia! They play today at 11am and 3pm at Citadel High.

Our women’s curling team had another win today against BC, with a nail-biting finish and final score of 5-4. They placed 1st in Pool A and play again on Friday at 10am in a Semifinal.

In Ringette, our girls played well, but lost 8-3 against Quebec. They’ll take on BC tomorrow at 11:30am in Cole Harbour.

In Squash, our Women’s team defeated MB 4-0, while our Men’s team lost to Manitoba 4-0. Both teams competed hard throughout the matches.

In Target Shooting (Air Rifle) Nicole Marshall was the top Nova Scotian placing 10th. Teammate Merissa Young placed 18th. On the mens side, Eric Higgins placed 15th, while Caleb Purdy placed 16th.

In Biathlon Men’s Pursuit, Ciaran Dunn placed 33rd, Cole MacDonell 34th, Patrick Hen-nessey 35th and Mike Castein 38th. On the women’s side Francis Castein placed 34th, Amanda McLaughlin 35th and Victoria Dimick 36th.

The guys were on fire at last night’s gymnastics All Around competition. Evan Cruz placed 5th with a score of 75.85, coming 2nd in pommel horse and tying for 1st on the parallel bars, Ste-phen Clouter placed 15th with a score of 72.55 and Padraec Robinson placed 17th with a score of 71.600. Finals for both Men and Women go today at 11:40am and 5:30pm

In Hockey, Nova Scotia lost to a strong ON team in a valiant effort by a score of 5-3. Our team should be proud as they battled the entire game and gave themselves a chance to win. They play again today at 4pm in Dartmouth vs. MB.
