Health James Madison was an epileptic, and had

occasional seizures as a child. Although he lacked in physical strength, he

compensated for it with his incredible intelligence.

During his teens and early twenties he also suffered from a voice impairment, which prevented him from public speaking until age 30.

Later in his life he also had chronic arthritis.
