April, 2019 "Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 28:19-20) FREEDOM IN CHRIST “... You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.(John 8:32) Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and THE TRUTH, and the life…” (John 14:6) Upon declaring our independence (freedom), the United States of America was born on July 4, 1776. In regards to this event, John Adams wrote his wife, "… (this day) ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty….” Yes, we have had to conduct warfare over the years to maintain our freedom and it has cost the lives of untold thousands to have the freedom we experience today. Do you see the parallel here? When a person declares Jesus as their Savior and their citizenship is transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light, he is ‘born again’ – set free. It ought to be a day commemorated forever as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God. Yes, there will be battles to wage to maintain our freedom in Christ – spiritual warfare. Many millions of souls are held in captivity by the evil one in India. MVN’s missionaries shine the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ in dark and dangerous places. It cost many of those who signed the document birthing this new nation, great hardships, even death, to themselves and their families. So it is with the precious saints of God taking the good news that sets captives free in the dark nation of India. They and their families continue to pay a dear price to tell captives of hell about the One who took captivity captive’ (Eph. 4:8). And they, like Paul, say, “For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.” (2 Cor. 4:17) Yes, dear brothers and sisters, your prayers and gifts make it possible for many thousands to ‘declare independence’ from the bondage of the evil one. We continually give thanks to God for your hearts for His ministry in India. May our mighty God continue to richly bless all of you through His Son, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Tony

SPECIAL EDITION DEDICATED TO OUR MISSIONARIES

We are conducting a drive to provide sponsors for all our missionaries! Currently, MVN has 418 active missionaries spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in India. Of these, 109 are self-supported and 159 already have sponsors providing their support. This leaves 150 missionaries in need of sponsors. Presently, we have churches sponsoring up to 10 missionaries each; Sunday School classes sponsoring missionaries; individual donors sponsoring up to 20 missionaries each! What a unique privilege we have to be able to walk alongside these faithful missionaries, providing their physical needs, so they can focus on the kingdom work God has called them to! Will you consider sponsoring one or more missionaries?

OUR GOAL:150

MISSIONARIESSPONSORED BY END OF 2016

SPONSORSHIP DRIVE CONTINUES

GOAL: To have ALL our missionaries sponsored by the end of 2016! $50/month provides the basic needs for a missionary.

Missionary Immanuel (15MVN0523TN) and Wife

Born into a Hindu family, Immanuel and his sister were bound with an evil spell that caused much chaos in the family. After a missionary came to their home, sharing the gospel and praying for the two children, his parents accepted Jesus as their personal savior. Gradually, the two children became completely healed and the entire family became believers and attended church.

Eventually, God spoke to Immanuel calling him to ministry. People mocked him, made fun of him and forced him out of their homes when he would share the gospel. Immanuel, with the help of God, persisted and his faith remained strong. Many who once despised him are now attending the church he established where 45 believers regularly worship.

Immanuel's vision is to evangelize the forty nearby villages and plant churches in each of them. He faces many hardships and needs a sponsor to who will support him financially and in prayer

CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS

1) Social – skills to facilitate interaction and communication with others, including persuasion, active listening, delegation and leadership. Occasionally, they are taken on field trips for entertainment.

2) Physical – prevention or cure of certain health problems and promotion of good health; physical exercises and personal hygiene; occasional medical clinics. They are given a boiled egg and a cup of milk tea.

Child Development Centers (CDCs) are initially established in villages where there are no churches. MVN trains and appoints 2 Christian adults to instruct selected children in a village.

Parents soon recognize the positive impact on their children and an open door develops to plant a church. Remarkable transformation occurs in the lives of these children very quickly, with most of them becoming believers and followers of Jesus. 3) Academic– tutored in their school subjects

4) Spiritual –introduction to the principles of Godly and pious living with emphasis on integrating moral principles and biblical truths into their lives. Most will make professions of faith in Jesus Christ.

Currently, MVN has established 14 CDCs with 50-60 children, ages 6 - 14, in each one. Children attend 3-4 hours each day after school and 3-4 hours on Saturday. They receive instruction in 4 areas:
