'Dear Zindagi' teaches us tounderstand a Happier Life
Last week, I saw themovie Dear Zindagi. To sayhonestly, Dear Zindagi is anawesome movie. DearZindagi is that rare brand ofcinema that makes you cryand laugh all at one go. DearZindagi has definitely ap-pealed us if we love slice oflife film. It is a nice movietouching a social problemwhere some bashful individu-als may find guidance fortheir problems. I loved thefantastic dialogues, goodcamera work, good directionand great script. A story tellsabout life how we should takeit as it comes. Gauri Shindehas shown good mastery offilm making. The overall pack-aging of Dear Zindagi wasgood enough to attract all. Itis purely educational withentertainment and full of les-sons to be learned. It showsthat sometimes in our life los-ing out on something mightturn out to be the biggestturning point of our lives. Andso it is important to lose somebattles because they end upgiving us better lessons thanvictory.
Gauri Shinde is an abso-lutely incredible director andwriter. She has a deep under-standing of human emotionas well. Her insights aboutthe hopes and aspirations ofIndian housewives are surelymore detailed than her read-ing of a young adult's heartand mind.
Real-life therapists mightgape when we see Dr Khanbrushing off rules, dimplinghis way through his sessions,
while giving Kaira (Alia), andus, lectures on the virtues offinding the right chair in life.
Alia was best as she couldwhereas Shah Rukh khan isreally king in acting. Alia hasbrought in so much freshnessto the screen. She is an ab-solute natural. Hats off ShahRukh, for an incredible per-formance and producing suchan incredibly bold film ShahRukh is not only acting in thefilm but is also backing it. Hisimmense star power helpedthe film get the initial num-bers.
Dear Zindagi, GauriShinde's marvelously unfet-tered story of a shrink and agirl who is anything but ashrinking violet, has reallycracked the box office in thetime of demonetization.
When everything seemsto be beyond our control, it'salmost too easy for us to slip. What we need to do is justto tune up our mind to enjoyevery moment of life.
True human struggle canbe experienced only in filmslike Dangal which show realpeople, undergoing real suf-
fering, who struggle againstall odds to break out of themould. Everyone praisingAlia or SRK, but the actualcredit goes to the writers ofthe script as also more to thedirector, screenplay writerand editors.
Shah Rukh Khan and AliaBhatt's much-awaited movieDear Zindagi has finally hitthe cinemas and is beenhighly appreciated by thefilm fraternity and also get-ting a lot of good reviewsfrom the critics as well.Though there is no romanticconnection between the ac-tors, their characters arebeing loved by everyone. The role of both actors aregood, the movies tell us allabout how to live in life &how to enjoy life. DearZindagi teaches us that wedon't need to have too manypeople in our life. Just a fewmeaningful friendships areenough. We are told tochoose the difficult optionbecause that's how we growin life.
No matter how big ourproblems are but solutionsare always there. Not blam-ing the rest people just be-cause someone did the mis-take. There are good peoplein life only the thing is thatwe need to find the rightpeople who can give us joyand fun and keep encourag-ing not matter what kind ofproblem we have, It's our lifeand we need to enjoy it, thisis what movies say.

Canadian PM says mosque shoot-ing a 'terrorist attack on Muslims'
Six people were killed andeight wounded when gunmenopened fire at a Quebec Citymosque during Sunday nightprayers, in what CanadianPrime Minister Justin Trudeaucalled a "terrorist attack onMuslims".
Police said two suspectshad been arrested, but gaveno details about them or whatprompted the attack.
Initially, the mosque presi-dent said five people werekilled and a witness said upto three gunmen had fired onabout 40 people inside theQuebec City Islamic CulturalCentre. Police said only twopeople were involved in theattack.
"Six people are confirmeddead - they range in age from35 to about 70," Quebec pro-vincial police spokeswomanChristine Coulombe told re-porters, adding eight peoplewere wounded and 39 wereunharmed. The mosque'spresident, Mohamed Yangui, who was not inside when theshooting occurred, said hegot frantic calls from peopleat evening prayers.
"Why is this happeninghere? This is barbaric,” hesaid. Prime Minister JustinTrudeau said in a statement:"We condemn this terroristattack on Muslims in a cen-tre of worship and refuge".
“Muslim-Canadians are animportant part of our nationalfabric, and these senselessacts have no place in ourcommunities, cities and coun-try."
The shooting came on theweekend that Trudeau saidCanada would welcome refu-gees, after U.S. PresidentDonald Trump suspended theU.S. refugee programme andtemporarily barred citizens
from seven Muslim-majoritycountries from entering theUnited States on national se-curity grounds.
A Canadian federal Liberallegislator, Greg Fergus, tweeted: "This is an act ofterrorism -- the result of yearsof sermonizing Muslims.Words matter and hatefulspeeches haveconsequences!"The premierof Quebec province, PhilippeCouillard, said security wouldbe increased at mosques inQuebec City and Montreal.
"We are with you. You arehome," Couillard said, direct-ing his comments at the prov-ince's Muslim community."You are welcome in yourhome. We are all Quebecers. We must continue together tobuild an open welcoming andpeaceful society".
New York Mayor Bill deBlasio said police were pro-viding additional protectionfor mosques in that city fol-lowing the Quebec shooting."All New Yorkers should bevigilant. If you see some-thing, say something," hetweeted.
French President FrancoisHollande condemned the at-tack.
"The terrorists wanted toattack the spirit of peace andtolerance of the citizens ofQuebec," Hollande said in astatement on Monday."France stands shoulder toshoulder with the victims andtheir families".
Like France, Quebec hasstruggled at times to recon-cile its secular identity with arising Muslim population, many of them from North Af-rica.
In June last year, a pig’shead was left on the doorstepof the cultural centre.
U.S. tempers part of Trump travelban amid big protests, criticism
President Donald Trump'sadministration on Sundaytempered a key element ofhis move to ban entry of refu-gees and people from sevenMuslim-majority countries inthe face of mounting criticismeven from some prominentRepublicans and protests thatdrew tens of thousands inmajor American cities.
Trump signed the directiveon Friday, but the policy ap-peared to be evolving on thefly. Democrats and a grow-ing number of Republicansassailed the move and foreignleaders condemned it amidcourt challenges and tumultat U.S. airports.
The president's criticshave said his action unfairlysingled out Muslims, violatedU.S. law and the Constitutionand defiled America's historicreputation as hospitable toimmigrants. In a fresh de-fence of the action on Sun-day, Trump said his directivewas "not about religion" butkeeping America safe. Trumphas presented the policy as a
way to protect the countryfrom the threat of Islamistmilitants. U.S. Homeland Se-curity Secretary John Kellysaid in a statement that peo-ple from the seven countrieswho hold so-called greencards as lawful permanentU.S. residents would not beblocked from returning to theUnited States from overseas,as some had been after thedirective. All green card hold-ers who were detained atU.S. airports had been admit-ted into the country by lateSunday, a U.S. official famil-iar with the process toldReuters. The source could notprovide a figure of how manypeople whose re-entry hadbeen delayed, in some casesfor hours. Outside the WhiteHouse, where some viewingstands from Trump's Jan. 20inaugural parade still stood, several thousand protestersdenounced him, carryingsigns such as "Deport Trump"and "Fear is a terrible thingfor a nation's soul." Protestsalso were staged in cities and
airports in New York, Los An-geles, Boston, Houston, Dal-las and elsewhere. The Re-publican president on Fridayput a four-month hold on al-lowing refugees into thecountry, an indefinite ban onrefugees from Syria and athree-month bar on citizensfrom Iran, Iraq, Libya, Soma-lia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Border and customs offi-cials struggled to put Trump'sdirective into practice. Con-fusion persisted over detailsof implementation, in particu-lar for the people who holdgreen cards. Senator BobCorker, the Republican chair-man of the U.S. Senate For-eign Relations Committeeand a Trump supporter, saidthe president's order hadbeen poorly implemented, particularly for green cardholders.
"The administrationshould immediately makeappropriate revisions, and itis my hope that following athorough review and imple-mentation of security en-hancements that many ofthese programs will be im-proved and reinstated,"Corker said.
"To be clear, this is not aMuslim ban, as the media isfalsely reporting," Trump saidin a statement on Sunday."This is not about religion -this is about terror and keep-ing our country safe. Thereare over 40 different coun-tries worldwide that are ma-jority Muslim that are not af-fected by this order."
He added: "We will againbe issuing visas to all coun-tries once we are sure wehave reviewed and imple-mented the most secure poli-cies over the next 90 days."
The department said onSaturday Trump's action didapply to people with greencards who were returning tothe United States from theseven nations, while a WhiteHouse official said green cardholders who had left theUnited States and wanted toreturn would have to visit aU.S. embassy or consulate toundergo additionalscreening.White House Chiefof Staff Reince Priebus thenwent on the Sunday morningnews programs to say thosepeople would not be blocked.
"As far as green card hold-ers moving forward, it doesn'taffect them," Priebus said onthe NBC programme "Meetthe Press." Priebus addedthat these green card hold-ers would be subjected to"more questioning" by U.S.Customs and Border Patrolagents when they try to re-enter the United States "un-til a better programme is putin place over the next severalmonths."
In limbo abroad, Yemeni democ-racy activist decries U.S. ban
Years after he fled politi-cal persecution in his nativeYemen, a new life in theUnited States was finally tak-ing shape for democracy ac-tivist Abdulraqeb al-Duais.
But U.S. President DonaldTrump's temporary travelban on seven Muslim-major-ity countries has upset hisplans to bring his family overto the United States - wherehe has political asylum - andhas left him in limbo in Ma-laysia.
"It's like it's not real - likeI'm living a nightmare now,"he said. "I believed my col-our, my religion was not anissue in (the United States)and that it representedprogress and freedom. NowI don't know what to be-lieve."
A U.S. green card holder,Duais flew to Malaysia fromNew York on Friday to bewith his family when they ap-peared for an immigrationinterview at the U.S. em-
bassy in Kuala Lumpur, towhich they fled their war-damaged home country.
The 41-year-old father
expected prompt approvalfor his wife and three youngchildren to acquire greencards and join him.
