With this program, you may be able to get a blood sugar meter at no charge to you. You and your doctor can choose from selected brands of meters. How to Get Your Free Meter

1 Select the monitor that will work best for you after discussing the decision with your doctor.

2 Call the manufacturer as noted below, or visit their website.

3 Provide name, shipping address and participating member number that’s displayed on the letter received from UnitedHealthcare. If you have not received a letter with a participation number you can receive a free meter by simply providing your UnitedHealthcare member number.

4 The monitor will arrive by mail 10-14 days after placing the order. In some cases, you may receive a voucher redeemable for a no-cost meter at a retail pharmacy in 5-7 days.

Don’t delay. Talk with your doctor about choosing the appropriate brand-name meter for you.
