As sea levels rise and wildfires burn, Only Expansion remixes the sound of the city around you to experience sonically how your own life might change in the future. A beautifully made guidebook prompts you to explore the city, choosing your own route, while headphones with customised electronics capture and manipulate the sounds around you.Only Expansion was commissioned by University of Exeter, Arts and Culture and Kaleider, with support from Lydgalleriet Bergen, Theatre in The Mill Bradford, and Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants.

Lumiascope is an interactive installation which invites members of the public to become part of the artwork and generate constantly shifting kaleidoscopic patterns by their movement in front of it. A small celebration to launch Kaleider’s new production house, Kaleider Studios.
Our Dancing Shadows uses the latest VR technology to enable people to collaborate in the same virtual world at once, untethered and outside. You can choose to watch the dancers and/or be a dancer yourself. If you choose to dance, you’ll take to the stage wearing a VR headset. Come at the show times to see the dancing. Each show lasts about 10 minutes. If you want to be a dancer, please turn up 30 minutes before a show start time. (VR participants must be 14+).Our Dancing Shadows was commissioned by Watershed for The University of Bristol’s 5G Layered Realities Weekend.

Alright Mate? is an award-winning collaboration between Exeter based playwright and mental health specialist Cally Hayes, and artist Hugh McCann. Alright Mate? is an audio-visual installation that explores male mental health through presenting conversations with and photographs of participating members of the public.

HAM will be a performance game about wayfinding, relationships and radios. Part performance, part interactive game, played by actors and audiences at the same time. This is the development workshop for HAM to explore the ideas and it will take you on a journey to find radio frequency foxes in the environment around you. (18+). A light installation on windows playing with colour, translucency and reflection, inviting the viewer to explore the different perspectives inside and out. A bower can refer to: a garden shelter enclosed by pillars; a folly built by a bowerbird; a boudoir.

This is Phonic is an affectionate portrayal of a community radio station. Contained within the confines of the studio, all the interviews are conducted in gaps between on air banter to explore the stories of 7 presenters.
The result is a strikingly intimate film that is funny, touching and revealing.

The Listening Booth is a space to hear words and sounds in Exeter Library. It is a place to rest and listen to audio. It is a space that accommodates two and is accessible for people living with visual impairment. It is located on the ground floor, by the computers.
Also look out for a selection of work from the South West Creative Technology Network’s Immersion Fellows. SWCTN is a £6.5 million project to expand the use of creative technologies across the South West of England, produced by Kaleider and Watershed with the Universities of Falmouth, Plymouth, Bath Spa and UWE (lead).

Listening to Silent Spring is a piece of sound art made on a listening walk around east Exeter. The sounds noted became the script for the work. The silences provide space for you to become aware of your own ambient soundtrack. Seek out the bird boxes to listen.
