FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP

“Our health is our greatest treasure”. Taking care of our health is utmost important for

everyone. But in our daily life, we keep on looking for excuses to not visit our doctor. Be it

for saving money or for other reasons like I am too young and healthy to go to a doctor or I

don’t have time today; may be next week, I’ll get an appointment, and hence we keep on

ignoring our health.

We do not understand a simple fact that performing regular health check – ups from young

age can actually save many lives. Saving some bucks today by ignoring periodic check-ups,

we increase the risk of occurrence of several health issues in future.

In order to raise the awareness regarding regular health check-ups, so as to improve the

quality of life and enjoy good health throughout your life; under the guidance of Principal

madam Dr. Vaishali Mungurwadi, the NSS unit of SCET & SWAC, in association with

Bombay Maternity & Surgical Hospital, city light, Surat had organized a “ Free Health

Check-up Camp in SCET on 23rd August 2016, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for all the

students and Staff at TIFAC Building ”.

For students: various health check-ups like Hb level, Eye check up, Body mass index check

& Diet advice, Common skin problem like acme pigmentation spots and Thyroid test (Rs 50/-

optional) was organized and for Staff: Eye check-up and Bone Mass Density (BMD) was

organized.

The enthusiastic NSS Team, Faculty members including respected Principal madam, Dean

Academic , I/C Registrar, HODs and students have participated in health check-up camp and

there was a Total Participation of 638 (with Staff Participation : 167 and Students

Participation : 471)

In future the NSS unit of SCET will try to get associated with such organizations and will

plan more such programs for health and welfare awareness for all the students and staff of our

college.
