Captioned telephone services allow you to LISTEN and READ captions of everything said during your phone conversations.

The Captioned Telephone user speaks directly to the other party on the telephone.
The other party speaks directly to the Captioned Telephone user.
The Captioned Telephone operator transcribes the other party’s spoken message into text (captions) using voice-recognition technology.
The Captioned Telephone user listens to the other party on the telephone while reading captions of the conversation on a display screen.

n Apply for a CapTel phone on loan from the State of Oregon by visiting www.oregoncaptel.com or calling 1-800-848-4442. Certain restrictions may apply.
n If you do not qualify for a CapTel phone from the State of Oregon, you may purchase the phone for $99.00 from WCI. Go to www.oregoncaptel.com for more information.
