Precision and knife-sharp edgesFact #5Genuine wool felt offers a
myriad of benefits - both creative, functional and technical. For
example, the wool is pressed so tightly that the finished felt
becomes extremely tear resist-ant, so that the edges do not fray or
unravel - even as it ages.
This means that we can make incredibly precise cuts and patterns
on our digital cutting table. In fact, the felted wool is so dense
that edge hemming is in most cases only performed out of aesthetic
considerations.
Felt in FeltIf several colors of felt are to be combined, this
is performed using intarsia. This means that the different pattern
parts are cut from felt and “set into one another” - again with a
cut precision that ensures a perfect and durable result. We never
print directly onto the felt.
