Stock Car 2017: Fras-le brake pads also on Mercedes-Benz Challenge AMG Division Fras-le`s hard work as a high-tech friction material manufacturer for the Stock Car Championship is paying off. In 2016, the Company`s achievements were remarkable, both in performance and durability, regarding the 9 different P/Ns of brake pads that have equipped the pilots` cars in five categories. This year, besides providing brake pads for Mercedes C250 CUP, which compete in Mercedes-Benz Challenge category, Fras-le begins to supply front brake pads for one more category: CLA AMG CUP, following tests conducted and approved by the automaker in Brazil. This way, Fras-le further qualifies itself as the most reliable manufacturer of safety items in the friction market. The innovations developed by the engineering and commercial areas are the basis for all other products and markets in the more than 100 countries where the brand is present. As the official supplier of brake pads for the Mercedes Benz Challenge, the Company follows closely its performance with the teams and pilots, who recognize Fras-le`s commitment towards the continuous improvement of its products. In 2017, Fras-le will continue accelerating, ready for another year in its successful partnership with the Stock Car/Vicar - Brazil’s largest motor vehicle racing category, spreading the technology from the tracks to the roads and streets. FRAS-LE63 YEARS

On February 22nd, Fras-le completed 63 years of history . Time that has brought achievements, success and learning. We thank our employees, suppliers and customers for the partnership.

May the next years bring prosperity and excellent results for all of us!

In order to continuously reach the technical needs of its customers, Fras-le has participated, along with Ford Caminhões, in the development of its new family of vehicles Ford Cargo Torqshift.

The characteristic of this new family of vehicles is the use of automated gearshift transmission, which provides greater comfort to drivers in their daily activities.

While developing and evaluating this new application, Fras-le was looking for a friction material with unique features: one that would provide longer durability to the brake linings under severe applications while keeping high braking efficiency.

To achieve this goal, the friction material Fras-le AF/787T was approved for the family of vehicles Ford Cargo Torqshift, providing an optimized ratio between braking efficiency and durability in these vehicles and thus meeting the demands of the market.Source: http://www.negociosemtransporte.grupott.com.br/ford-apresenta-novos-cargo-com-caixa-automatizada

Cooling Systems Study for BrakesFras-le, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG) are establishing a partnership to study the efficiency of cooling systems in automotive brakes. The research aims to scale the reduction of the braking system operating temperature by adopting solutions aimed at increasing the air flow available for cooling discs, calipers and brake pads.

The project involves virtual sizing optimization, through CFD (computational Fluid Dynamics), of ducts channeling the air present at the front part of the vehicle to the brake system. The results are then validated through dynamometer tests which allow reproducing the designed cooling conditions. The study has already been approved and will be presented at the 13th SAE Brazil International Brake Colloquium scheduled for May 24th and 25th in Caxias do Sul.
