for the purity/ cleanness)
The Expressionism
Expressionism was a modernist movement, in poetry and painting, originating in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. Its typical trait is to present the world only from a subjective perspective, in order to evoke moods or ideas.
Expressionist artists tried to express emotional experience rather than physical reality.
The „Blaue Reiter“ (Blue Rider) Organisation
Founded in 1916 by German expressionist painters and Russian immigrants
tried to express the spiritual side of man and nature, which they felt had been neglected by impressionism.
