Frantz or Klikko - a Correction

My friend, the archaeologist Robin Derricourt, writes from Australia to point out what I should have found out myself ('Frantz or Klikko, the Wild Dancing Bushman: a Case Study in Khoisan Stereotyping', Botswana Notes and Records 20: 71-76). W.L.H. Duckworth was no employee or even pseudonym of 'Professor' Geoffrey Cunningham, the former dentist claiming to be 'Cinema Science Lecturer' of Cambridge University. On the contrary, Duckworth was a distinguished physical anthropologist, University Lecturer and eventually Reader in the subject at Cambridge University, where his 'Anthropological Laboratory' survives to this day. No doubt we shall next discover that Cunningham was a pioneer media and visual aids consultant in higher education. But that would not detract from his inhuman, exploitative and fundamentally racist relationship with Frantz or Klikko.
