Always be polite! No talking, dont be rude to other people and their work. For Safety - If there is an emergency you need to listen to the teacher and keep your arms and legs to yourself. The right place the right time. Finally for Achievement - Try not to be noisy and be disrespectful and try to learn something. Do your best at listening and follow the rules. I also asked Ella Appleby the same questions about PBL values and Ella said Because you can learn things”. For Respect - Try not to get distracted! Always look to the front. The question I asked her was: What does it look like when we are following the PBL values in the hall? Kayla said: If we are all being very quiet sitting with our legs are crossed we are showing respect and not being rude. We should always walk in sensibly, not touching anyone, and we should always make sure it is the right place at the right time”. Kayla also said that it is very important that we are trying our hardest to follow the rules. I had one other question for Kayla: Why is it important for students to follow the PBL values in the Hall? Kayla said So you dont get into trouble and you will not hurt yourself or anyone else”. Kayla also thinks that if everybody follows the PBL rules and values in the hall it will not be noisy so you can hear what is being said. I also asked Lilly Sturt from Year 2 Why is it important for students to follow PBL values in the Hall? Lilly said: You should listen to the teacher, sit quietly with your hands in your lap. You always walk quietly when youre going on stage and you must wait for your turn. Always keep your hands and feet to yourself. This is so you dont get into trouble, you do not hurt yourself and you dont hurt anyone else. I think they are all showing the Franklin PBL values

Student Voice

This week we have two budding journalists from Year 5,

Reegan Oddy and Keigan Sutton interviewing other

students about our PBL values at Franklin Public School.

not being rude. We should always walk in sensibly,

not touching anyone, and we should always make

sure it is the “right place at the right time”. Kayla

also said that it is very important that we are trying

CELEBRATING FRANKLIN!

TOGETHER WE LEARN

Middle School

Franklin Public Year 6 students go to Tumut High School every second Wednesday for the Middle School program. This helps our students become familiar with the High School grounds and teaching staff which will help their transition to Year 7 next year less daunting.

School Band

Just 3 of the 22 young trumpet players are keen to come to Big Band Bash Day on March 27th. Well done to Will, Jett

and Lucas for mastering a 3 note scale!

Band Talk by Reegan Oddy: I talked to Mrs Crane about what our Franklin band was up to and she told me about “The

Big Band Bash” that is happening on Wednesday the 27th of March at

12pm in our the school hall. The Tumut Public School Band is also coming

along, so all up we will have about 70 students in total. There will be 22

trumpet players on the day. That is a lot of trumpets in one place! Parents,

Grandparents, Aunts and uncles are also welcome to come along and listen.

There will be musical games to help our sight reading and we will be work-

ing on 2 pieces of music. This might also be the first time that our band

members get to wear their new band shirts. We have 2 conductors and

about 8 volunteers who will be helping out. There are also a couple of extra

instruments (with their musicians) such as flutes, clarinets and one trom-

bone. Our band members have been working very hard and trying to do

their best and they are sounding pretty good.
