What do you think of being a Prefect?
It is fun being a Prefect but it comes with a lot of responsibility. I love doing jobs with other prefects or the Captain. As a Prefect you have many jobs like putting up the flags in the morning and taking them down in the afternoon and you need to make sure the gate is shut as well. Then of course you have to speak in front of the school assembly. There are also other scary things you get to do, like going on the radio and being ready to talk.
How is it being a Prefect?
Prefect at Franklin is an amazing opportunity but also a big responsibility. Being a school leader is very exciting but it comes with responsibilities. You have to do many tasks like putting the flags up in the morning and taking them down in the afternoon. There is also speaking at morning assembly and of course representing Franklin Public School in the community.
What is it like to be a Big Buddy?
My buddy’s name is Liam Gill. Liam is fun to play with but it is really easy to be a big buddy all you just have to do is follow them and play with them. You also make sure that they know all the rules at Franklin Public School. I miss being a big buddy fulltime although I am still there if Liam needs me.
What is it like being a Buddy?
Being a buddy is a big responsibility but it
is good fun. You get to show your buddy
around the school. My Buddy this year is
Jace Freeman and we love to play on the
gym equipment and the sand pit and he
also likes to do his L3, playing with Lego
and just playing. Jace has a favourite
animal and it’s a tiger. Unfortunately the
buddy support has finished, however I am
still there to help and support my buddy if
required.

Joffa Toon School
Students from Franklin Public School enjoyed the Toon School with Joffa last week. This activity is school
funded so all budding cartoonists were able to have fun and learn about resilience while learning to draw
terrific cartoons.

Tumut Colour Explosion Fun Run is all about having the most fun possible whilst being active. All participants are asked to wear white at the starting line & finish plastered in colour! After participants complete the fun run, the fun continues with an unforgettable Finish Festival. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing, sprinklers and massive colour throws, which create millions of vivid colour combinations.
What’s happening at Tumut Schools As Community Centres…
We’ve been exploring one of our favourite books ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’.
Children used their fine motor skills to create little fluffy caterpillars using tweezers and pom poms. We also experimented with mirror painting to make beautiful and colourful butterflies. Children designed
their own story of the book using illustrations and sorted healthy food and unhealthy foods. WOW what a week!!
All of our playgroups are FREE! All are welcome
Call Laura 02 69476961 for more information or pop into the SaCC building.
