Dual System of Vocational TrainingOur apprenticeship is based on a principle called

“dual apprenticeship”.

It’s a system of vocational training. That means we attend a vocational school two days a week where we are taught all the subjects that we need for our job. After the lessons we have to go to our local court / law firms, as well as on the other days when we don’t go to vocational school.

The apprenticeship lasts for 3 years. When we are finished, we will be certified “legal clerks” or legal secretaries“ or …...

The vocational school represents the theoretical part and the law firm is the practical part of our apprenticeship. That’s why it’s called dual system.
