Right of Way Computation.
Structures Phase: Receive instructions and performed technical Engineering task in Bridge Design, Retaining Walls, Sign
Structures, Box Culverts, Traffic Signal Structures, Plans Review and Shop Drawings Reviews.
Intern Engineer at C. H. Perez and Associates 2011-2012
As an intern at C. H. Perez and Associates, I assisted in the creation and review of drawings and project specifications,
maintained document logs, assisted with deliverables, reviewed police reports, created collision diagrams, created safety
studies and recommendation reports, collected and analyzed numerous turn movement counts, travel time and delay, hose
counts and speed counts.
Project experience on the following:
I-95 ITS Special Project, Miami-Dade County, FDOT District VI – Lead Project Engineer responsible for the production
of plans and report. Acted as the lead point of contact for all coordination with the ITS department. This project consisted of
the development of Ramp Metering System Performance Measurements report and plans to be used by the ITS department.
SR 907 / Alton Road Reconstruction, Miami-Dade County, FDOT District VI – Performed complex
engineering/geometric calculations for the reconstruction of Alton Road. Laid out horizontal alignments, determined
adequate vertical profiles to elevate the road 2’ while maintaining the existing back of sidewalk elevation, and performed
superelevation calculations. Represented the department as a contact point for coordination with citizens, local municipalities,
FDOT offices, and transit groups. Oversaw drainage work being done by drainage consultant. Facilitated scope changes and
cost reductions through careful analysis of project requirements and existing conditions. Coordinated with adjacent local
design-builds and future design projects to reduce impacts to public. Other responsibilities included plans productions,
project coordination, typical section package, pavement design, phase submittals and review meetings, participating in public
meetings, variations, documenting project changes, and coordinating for the community awareness plan.

services including traffic counts, researching and recording data into the Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI) and
Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) databases, Straight Line Diagrams (SLD), traffic counts, and GIS.
District-wide Statistics Data Collection Consultant (FDOT – D4): provided assistance with Statistics data collection
services in collecting and analyzing traffic and highway data, as well as to serve as an extension to the Transportation
Statistics and Systems Planning staff. Activities included Traffic/Roadway Characteristics Inventory (TCI/RCI) data
collection, data reporting, mapping applications, and data analysis.
District-wide Traffic Operations Consultant (FDOT – D6): assisted in the performance of data collection to support
Traffic Engineering Studies in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
District-wide ADA Compliance Consultant (FDOT – D6): assisted in the performance of field data collection to evaluate
compliance with the American with Disabilities Act and current FDOT standards.
