The allies of France were Russia, Great Britain, Italy and the United States.Because prior to the war, Russia had encountered many internal problems to do with it's modernisation process. R

Russia had been defeated in smaller wars whilst they were trying to deal with a very discontent serf (slave) population.All of these losses and

changes in economy required money which the government did not have. France loaned Russia the money, thus creating an alliance between Russia and France.

France lost Lots of land, people (death) and the lands of Alsace and Lorraine.France had to give Germany its rich mining area, Alsace and Lorraine.

After WW1, they built the Maginot Line, along their border with Germany. This was a massive defensive fortifiations with underground bunkers that could be used for troops and support and command and control.In 1940, the Germans defeated this defensive line by attacking through Belgium and going around it.

What problem does France have with many soldiers died when they where crossing though the war

They had many problems because their was a war and about 2.5milion soldiers die at the war.Especially at the Afghanistan war.

How did France win Russia over as an ally from Germany?

The Franco-Russian Alliance went back to a Treaty in 1892. The Germans, Austro-Hungarians and Italians had entered into the "Triple Alliance" in 1882, leaving Russia isolated. The French had felt isolated since starting, and losing, the Franco-Prussian War in 1870. So their alliance was a counter-balance to the Triple Alliance.
