Career
Change to
Landscape
Architecture
After a successful career as a project and people manager in high-tech, I am making a change to landscape architecture, where I am developing my interests in sustainability, design, and plants. I am making this change because I want to make an impact on our human experience of the natural and built environments and their connection. I am particularly interested in three areas:
managing water effectively, whatever the size and scope of the project
using art in landscape
social justice through landscape planning I have just begun to explore these interests in my studies, and looking ahead, I am very excited about what I have to learn. In addition to design skill, I have expertise in leading and collaborating with large and small cross-functional and international teams; writing and editing; and managing people, projects, and budgets.
