DESCRIPTION

Resource Allocation for TDC 3 Common Direct Mode Zone (CDMZ): set of PRUs with fixed size and positions which are commonly assigned to all cells (must be CRU) Cell Specific Direct Mode Zone (CSDMZ): additionally assigned direct-mode resource blocks independently assigned by each HR-BS (CRU or DRU) and information to receive cell specific direct mode region can be obtained from common direct mode zone

Common Direct Mode Zone (CDMZ): 4 PRUs having highest indices of uplink resources (72 contiguous subcarriers in the frequency domain, see IEEE C802.16n-11/0051r2)IEEE C802.16n-11/0051r2 Cell Specific Direct Mode Zone (CSDMZ): determined by each HR-BS independently (UL or DL resource) Frame structure for TDC CDMZ: The resources assigned for CDMZ are composed of Sync-CH (synchronization channel), Ded-CH (dedicated channel), and Sup-CH (supplementary channel). CSDMZ: FFS 2 Resource Allocation for TDC 3 Common Direct Mode Zone (CDMZ): set of PRUs with fixed size and positions which are commonly assigned to all cells (must be CRU) Cell Specific Direct Mode Zone (CSDMZ): additionally assigned direct-mode resource blocks independently assigned by each HR-BS (CRU or DRU) and information to receive cell specific direct mode region can be obtained from common direct mode zone Construction of TDC frame (CDMZ) Example. 3 uplink subframes/ 5msec frame Synchronization Channel (Sync-CH): 1 st subframe of each superframe Dedicated Channel(Ded-CH): 1 st subframe of the 2 nd and 4 th frame Supplementary Channel(Sup-CH): the other subframes 4 A B A Sup-Ch for slot 2 Ded-Ch B Sup-Ch for slot 1 Ded-Ch PHY Channels for TDC Synchronization Channel (Sync-Ch) Includes 6 OFDM symbols (1 st subframe of each superframe) The Sync-CH uses 72 contiguous subcarriers in the frequency domain In the time domain, first three symbols are used for the Sync-CH preamble and last three symbols are used for the Sync-CH message See IEEE C802.16n-11/0131 for more details 5 PHY Channels for TDC Dedicated Channel(Ded- Ch) Dedicated sub-channel: set of 9 mRBs allocated across all assigned PRUs in the same slot (to obtain freq. diversity) mRB (mini Resource Block): 6 subcarriers x 6 OFDM symbols Transmit data packets and control packets See IEEE C802.16n- 11/0132 for more details 6 mRBs for Ded-Ch PHY Channels for TDC Supplementary Channel (Sup-Ch) Supplementary sub-channel: set of 2 half-mRBs in the same subframe Half-mRB: 3 subcarriers x 5 OFDM symbols (6 th OFDM symbol is empty symbol (guard time) for Tx. Rx. switiching time Sup-Ch for Ded-Ch in slot 1 exists in slot 2, and Sup-Ch for Ded-Ch in slot 2 exists in slot 1 (1:1 correspondence between a supplementary sub-channel and a dedicated sub-channel) Transmits MAC messages, PHY signalings and short feedback messages related with the corresponding dedicated sub-channel MAC messages: RTS, CTS, MCS information, ranging response et. al. PHY signalings: periodic ranging sequence, sounding signal et. al. Short feedback messages: ACK, NACK, CQI, CSI, RI (rank information) et. al.
