Fifth Sunday of Lent March 18th Readings
Jeremiah 31:31—34 Hebrews 5:7—9 John 12:20—33
SACRED HEART CHURCH 125 Walsh St — Wolf Creek, MT
Office Hours: 10 am-3 pm Mon-Fri
1st Reading: 2 Chronicles 36:14-16, 19-23
God’s people lived in sin, mocking God’s messengers and ignoring the Lord’s warnings. Finally their enemies destroyed Jerusalem. They were taken captive, but God showed mercy.
2nd Reading: Ephesians 2:4-10
God is rich in mercy, and out of love the Lord brought us to life in Christ when we were in sin. God saved us by grace,
not by anything we have done.
Gospel: John 3:14—21
God’s Son came into the world not to condemn it, but to save it. As Moses lifted up the serpent, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that all who believe may have eternal life.

Chrism Mass at Cathedral of St. Helena
5:30 pm
The Chrism Mass (also known as the Mass of the Oils), is the liturgy at which the Bishop blesses the holy
oils to be used in the celebration of the Sacraments throughout the coming year, and is a celebration of the
SHARED MINISTRY of all in the Diocese.
THE CHRISM MASS MANIFESTS OUR UNITY IN THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST.
While our diocese is made up of many different parishes with unique gifts and needs, we are in communion with one another:
We are ONE church; TOGETHER we are ONE BODY OF CHRIST united with our bishop in and through the ministry of our priests and deacons. Plan on attending this year!
