A WELCOMING COMMUNITY
This week, we will celebrate
World Mission Sunday. Its theme this year is
Mission at the Heart of the Christian Faith, and it
once again gathers us around the person of Jesus, the
“very first and greatest evangelizer” who
continually sends us forth to proclaim the Gospel of the love of God the Father in the
power of the Holy Spirit.
The Church continues the mission of the Son and the mission of the Holy Spirit by
proclaiming to the ends of the earth the salvation Christ offers those
who believe in him.

Advent by Candlelight and Tea First Sunday of Advent December 3rd 4-6 pm
in the OLV Faith Formation Center
For our ninth year, the women of Our Lady of the Valley and our
guests will gather for tea, dessert, and reflection to
prepare our hearts and minds for the Advent season and the TRUE meaning of Christmas,
the birth of Jesus.
We are currently seeking table hostesses. A hostess decorates
her table with anything from paper products to china and
provides dessert for her guests. Co-hosting is fun if you would like a friend to share the work. As a hostess you could fill your
table of eight with friends or family (including yourself) or we
could fill it for you from our general reservations.
Hostess signup will begin the weekend of
October 21-22 and next weekend
October 28-29.
General Guest signup will begin the weekend of
November 4-5.
It will be an evening of fellowship, beauty, and serenity.
We hope you will join us!
Reservations for the evening are expected.
Signup information will be on the table
in the gathering space. There is no cost.
Free-will offering will be accepted.
