FEATURES - New F/W Release 2013
This release significantly enhances the overall IEC61850 capability of the SCD5200 as well as expanding the overall port capacity and instances of protocol stack. This is in line with the modern practice of redundant data concentration for many 3rd Party IEDs within the architecture.
FIRMWARE VERSION SY-1101190_P
Release Date : April 2013
Slide 8 Invensys Proprietary & Confidential
IEC61850 Architectures Simplified
• Co-Resident IEC61850 Client and IEC61850 Server operation within a single SCD5200 Node
– Optonet is NOT required to allow data transfers between client and server
– Architectures can be simplified
• KEMA IEC61850 Certification of both IEC61850 Client and Server Operation
– Avoids the need for further end-user qualification and testing of IEC61850 operation
• Updated IEC61850 Schema
– IEC61850 is a maturing standard and this brings the older firmware up to date in support of the IEC61850 SCL language and Schema
• Other Enhancements
• The maximum number of increased to 150 within a single node
• A 50 per cent increase in port capacity
• More than double the number of DNP protocol stacks allowed
• Slide 9 Invensys Proprietary & Confidential
IEC 61850 RELATED SERVER UPDATE
• Server Time activated Operate for Controls
• Server CILO and RSYN LNs
• Control Interlock and Synchro Check
• Server On, Off and Blocked Modes
• Server Status Check before Execute
• Server String Types now visible over Optonet
• Server ENUM and CODED types now available to other protocols and applications in SALL User Language

Deliverables
The objective deliverables of this proposal are all variants of SCD6000 CPU which would enable any variant of the SCD5200 and RTU50 COPE, COE, P30E to be functionally upgraded.
These variants would appear to the market as:
• SCD6000 Gateway Data Concentrator
• SCD6000 Translator Data Concentrator
• SCD6000 ELECTROBUS RTU

For an “overview” audience, the roadmap
presentation could end here. However there will be
opportunities to present to internal & external
customers where greater detail is required for a
specific product, for a grouping of products (some of
which may be on roadmaps outside of this portfolio),
or for other reasons. The following slides illustrate
ways of tying the “overview” map into details slides.
