It's finally happening! Our first Youth Mass will be on Pentecost weekend, Saturday, May 19, during

the 5:30 pm mass. Members of Annunciation's growing youth ministry will be responsible for greeting,

lecturing, ushering, and leading the music!

Immediately following mass, join us in the plaza for delicious homemade tacos and refreshments available to

everyone for free! Please come and support our future leaders as they continue to deepen their faith through

their service in our Catholic community.

For his motto, His Excellency, Bishop Cotta uses the phrase, “GRAÇA E MISERICÓRDIA,”

which translates, “Grace and Mercy,” for this sums up all that God’s relationship with his

people is all about. To reflect the bishop’s heritage, as an Azorean, the motto is rendered in

Portuguese.

Summer Science and Engineering Camp

Annunciation School will once again host the summer

Science and Engineering Camp, sponsored by the

University of Notre Dame’s Center for STEM Education.

This camp is open to any student entering 6th, 7th,

and 8th grade in the fall. Camp highlights include:

Explore animal anatomy and physiology

Dissect different animals to learn how organ

systems work in living things

Learn to use different tools and technologies to

solve problems

Solve engineering challenges and build Rube

Goldberg machines

Camp dates are June 5 - 15, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and

the cost is $150.00 per student (scholarships are

available) Reserve your space soon as this camp is

open to all students throughout San Joaquin County.

Student Council has designated Hong Kingston

Elementary School as their charitable organization

for the month of April. Money collected at our

school Masses and from snow cone sales will help

to provide backpacks and school supplies for their

students.

Kindergarten made a visit to Fog Willow Science

Farms to experience farm life, learning about

animals and agriculture.
