Easter Season Ignatian Prayer Program
A series of Ignatian Prayer experiences will be
presented at St. Rose of Lima. The program will focus on the
post Resurrection appearances of Jesus, through guided
Scriptural meditation. This will be led by Jesuit Fr. Thomas
McMurray from Holy Cross, and a team of experienced Ignatian
prayer leaders. The meetings will take place at 6:15 PM on May
19 and June 2. (No session on Memorial Day weekend). All are
welcome at any or all sessions.
Co-Ed Youth Volleyball
Any student in grades 7-12 is welcome to sign-up
for the Diocesan Volleyball League. Practices
will begin in late May and games will be held in
mid-June through August. All participants must
complete a registration form and return it to the FLC along
with the $25 fee. Registration forms are available at:
https://saintroseoflima.com/youth-athletics or in the FLC.
Forms are due by Monday, May 27th.
Easter Resurrection Bags
Easter Resurrection bags are available in the Gathering Space.
We have chosen many of Pope Francis’s quotes regarding
families to design this year’s bags, decorated by the children
in our religious education program, grades 1-10. Please fill the
decorated bag with food, to be shared with the hungry at the
Northborough Food Pantry, and return by Pentecost Sunday -
June 9th. Thank you.
St. Rose Community Garden
It is almost time once again to get our
Community Garden planted. Sign up in the
Gathering Space to help with Planting Day
and/or to be a Farmer of the Week. Sign up sheets
will be available after all the Masses, June 1/2, June 8/9, June
15/16. Planting Day will be Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 AM.
Come and join us! All ages are welcome at this wonderful
opportunity for families to serve together. Many hands make
light work! (rain date: Sunday, June 2nd at 1:00 PM). For more

Journey Together
Journey Together members will plan to meet for lunch on
Saturday, May 18th at 1:00 PM at Casta Diva Restaurant,
35 Solomon Pond Rd, Northborough. (508-466-2080). Some
members will meet at St. Rose parking lot at 12:30 PM for
carpooling. Thank you to Pat Link for contacting the restaurant.
The next general meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 16th
at 7:00 PM in the Family Life Center.
Mother’s Day Prayer
On this Mother’s Day, we thank you, dear Lord, for the mothers in our lives.
We are grateful for and treasure all of the women in our lives that love us and
care for us. Not only do we remember our mothers, but our grandmothers,
godmothers, aunts, sisters and friends. In the name of your
Holy Mother Mary, we pray. Amen

for a new coordinator for 2020, as Dawn Stiles will be retiring from this

Registrations for the 2019-2020 school year will soon be mailed. When you
receive your family’s registration, please complete and return it to the Religious Education Office.

The Religious Education Program at St. Rose of Lima is a volunteer program. It
is dependent on your willingness to share your time, talent and faith with our children. This upcoming school year, we anticipate needing your help in some of

Upcoming Youth Group Meetings
The Middle School and High School Youth Group is an
opportunity for pre-teens and teenagers of the parish to join
together in faith for various social, spiritual and service
programs. Anyone in grades 6-12 is encouraged to join us for
Youth Group meetings and events.

Steubenville East Youth Conference
Who… Students enter ing 9th grade in the Fall of 2019 to
those who just graduated high school.
What… A youth conference including speakers, great
music, Mass and much more.
Where… University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
When… Friday, July 12th – Sunday, July 14th Why… Spend a weekend with fellow teenagers from
St. Rose of Lima, St. Bernadette, and from parishes
across New England, getting inspired in youth faith
journey and growing in friendship with peers.

St. Rose of Lima Scholarships-Now Available
Any St. Rose graduating high school senior interested in
applying for the 2019 St. Rose of Lima Scholarship, is asked to
pick up an application from Stephen in the FLC (Monday-
Thursday, 10AM-5PM). All applications are due by Monday,
May 13th at 5PM.
Young Neighbors Annual Car Wash Looking to remove built up winter dirt and
salt from your car ? We have the answer…
hard working Young Neighbors teams will
make your car sparkle during their Annual
Car Wash and Dry Fundraiser, Saturday, May 18th,
9AM-12:30PM. $5 per car donation. (Rain date: Saturday,
June 8th).
50/50 Raffle... Raffle tickets are $5 and will be on sale after all Masses on
May 11/12. Drawing will be held at the end of the car wash.
These are our last two fundraisers before our group of 50 teens
head out on their summer mission trips. Thank you in advance
for your support.
Chaperones Needed this Summer
As our YNIA prepare for their summer mission trips, we are
looking for a few parishioners to step-up and serve as
chaperones for a few of our trips. If you are able to give a week
of your time and are interested in deepening your faith, all while
being inspired by teens who are interested in helping others,
