PARISH FAITH FORMATION, NEWS & MISSION

RACIAL JUSTICE SUNDAY

Reflecting on the importance of racial justice we believe that the universe was created by a loving God who chose to become a human being in Jesus Christ, who has redeemed the world and sent the Holy Spirit to enable us to love one another with God's love. All human beings are equally children of God and loved by God. Since none is outside the love of God, none should be outside our love either. We believe that the diversity of the human race was no mistake on God's part. God deliberately created variety within the human family and wants us to take as much delight in that variety as God does.

RITE OF ELECTION Please keep in your prayers the fourteen Catechumens and Candidates who are preparing for their Baptism, Confirmation and reception into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil on SATURDAY 31st MARCH. All the Catechumens and Candidates are requested to attend the Rite of Election at 12.30pm SATURDAY 17th FEBRUARY at St George's Cathedral, Southwark.

PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND JUNE 2018

Subsequent to booking the pilgrimage to Poland from 22—26 June 2018 (4 nights), British Airways changed the flight times that in turn has altered the pilgrimage dates to 23rd-28th June (5 nights). We will have an extra night’s stay in Poland and hence there are a few changes to the initial itinerary. Also there may be scope for more people to come on this pilgrimage. We will advise people on the waiting list who may now get a chance to join us. For those who had already booked to go on the pilgrimage to Poland the Parish Secretary has sent you the revised, both itinerary and booking form for you to confirm you are still happy with the new arrangements as there is now an additional £60 cost for the extra night’s stay & meal

NEW HYMNS BOOKS We had to replace the hymn books that we had only bought last year due to their damaged condition from (just) usage in the Church. The new replacement hymn books

have a protective clear plastic sleeve. After using please put the hymn books back lying flat in the shelving units and not standing upright as this may damage the sleeve.
