N o t e s . a. Found on 4th July 1897. This star was noted as

triple at Arequipa in 1891 - see Harvard Circular No. 18, 2qth July 1897 (A. N. 3447). The meagreness of the in- formation there given viz. that it has two coniites within 30" seems to justify its retention here as a new pair as it is not apparent if the close star was seen at hrequipa.

The stars in the above list have been found by Mr. R. T. A. Innes with the 7 in. equatorial of this observatory. The angles and distances are estimated.

The stars in the first list and some of those in the second list have been numbered in the Monthly Notices R. A. S. Vol. 5 7 part 7. The remaining stars in the second list have been numbered as follows :
