Swine Premiere

In order to show in the swine premiere class, you must nominate the hog in advance. You may nominate up to 5 animals. Keep in mind as you pick your animals, they will be judged on overall percent leanness in the carcass class.

In order to qualify for the carcass class, the animal will need to be ear tagged. Please call the office, or e-mail me with the number of animals you will be nominating. Tags will need to be picked up. If you are unable to pick your tags up during office hours, please call ahead and your tags can be left in the drop box for you.

Pictures of the animal with the tag attached must be e-mailed or mailed to me by April 9. You may also text me a picture through the Remind texting system. The picture must clearly show the tag in the ear and must be able to read the number. Any swine not registered with the extension office by April 9th will not be eligible for the carcass class.
