How Do We Define Leadership?Establishing a clear vision, sharing that vision with others so that they will follow willingly, providing the information, knowledge and methods to realize that vision, and coordinating and balancing the conflicting interests of all members and stakeholders.
“Leaders for the future need to have values and vision and to be authentic and agile, aligned and on purpose.”
Sir John Whitmore
Leadership Mantras
Enlightened Leadership
Awakened Leadership
Timeless Leadership
Lateral Leadership
Enlightened Leadership
Leaders of the future will focus on human development as the virtue that brings both tangible and intangible benefits not just for the individual or organization but the community as a whole. The coach engages the leader to look within himself while taking decisions that enhance the quality of life for society at large.
Awakened Leadership
Leaders need to be self-aware – have an awareness going beyond the knowledge of their own selves to that of others, which helps them understand and influence their followers.Coaching awakens deeper levels of self-awareness in leaders.
Timeless Leadership
A modern leader is one who acts after deep reflection. His mind is open to the wider reality and the larger context in which decisions should be taken. He is, thus, able to see patterns and find connections that extend beyond the organization.
Lateral Leadership
“Command and control” structures in organizations are being rapidly replaced by newer models.
Leaders will need to function by influencing and persuasion at virtually all levels.
Why teach leaders the IAC Masteries™ as a framework for
the modern leadership mantras?
Coaching is as much of a mindset as it is a process and related set of skills.
The IAC Masteries provide a framework for both developing a coaching mindset that align with 21st century leadership.

Enlightened Leadership
One of the moments I love when coaching with a leader is when, following an insight, aha or breakthrough, they turn to me and say something like “wow I don’t know how you did that Aileen, but that was really powerful”
Awakened Leadership
Leaders for the future will come from today’s youth. Coaching awakens deeper levels of self-awareness in young leaders.
Applying the Masteries awakens them to broader possibilities that truly match their leadership interests and abilities.
Timeless Leadership
The opportunity for deep reflection for leaders is modeled beautifully when working within an industry where the clients are in the reflective stage of life.
Lateral Leadership
Super storm Sandy created a need for leaders to work collaboratively across units and a need for shared leadership among all members of the unit.
