Statements

A statement tells something. It ends with a period (.).

Examples:

A question asks something. It ends with a question mark (?).

Examples:

1. When did your family go on vacation

2. He built the wall by himself

3. How much weight can you lift

Command

A command tells someone to do something. It ends with a period (.).

Examples:

1. Why are you painting a picture

2. Pack your bags for our trip

3. Did you open the door

4. Open your gift

Exclamation

An exclamation shows strong feeing. It ends with an exclamation point (!).

Examples:

1. I’m so hungry

2. Please push the cart
