Sang to those of the Other World Bringing them joy ..."

The Goddess Rhiannon, is represented by the white mare, Queen of the Otherworld, where birds could soothe the most troubled souls of mortals.

She is the Mother that educates, devoted to her children, who kindly teaches us the lessons ahead of us.

Rhiannon appears in two parts of the Mabinogion: Pwyll, Prince of Dyfed and Manawyddan, son of Llyr.



As reported in these stories, Rhiannon, understands the misery and pain, separation and loss, even though she was cheated, her love was relentless and of unfailing dignity.

She is llso associated with Epona Macha by the Gauls and the Irish.

Rhiannon is the Great Queen of Welsh.

With Rhiannon, a powerful presence is evoked, unique personality of mysterious origin, the woman that was ill talked but, finally, the Sovereign Queen, that transmits all her power through her words and inspire us with wisdom and patience.

Some of the original names of Rhiannon was Inferno, Ringatona (Italy), Epona (Galia), Bubbona (Scotland), The Great White Goddess.

Her name means "Divine Queen of the Fairies", and she is considered a Goddess of the Moon, she is also known as the Goddess of birds, enchantments, fertility and the underworld.

She identifies with the night, the emotion, the blood, the drama.

We can identify Rhiannon in the Aquarians, because as Goddess of the Fairies, they also like the unusual, the alternative and the strange.

All Aquarians are explorers, always looking for new and interesting land to discover.

Rhiannon should be invoked in spells involving stars and astrological practices.

Rhiannon gallops into your life to tell you how to work with doubt. To doubt someone or something when your instincts are giving you warning signals is healthy. To spend time doubting yourself is self-negating and not very helpful. The best way of working with self-doubt is to turn it into self-questioning. Self-doubt leads you nowhere. Self-questioning gives you answers.



Do you get stuck in doubt and let it turn your optimism into despair, your confidence into low self-esteem, your vitality into sluggishness and procrastination? Does doubt align itself with your fears to keep you from succeeding? Do the doubts of others shipwreck your dreamboat? Perhaps when the outside world is concerned you need to exercise a bit more skepticism, rather than trusting blindly. Rhiannon tells you not to let doubt erode your sacred self. Allow yourself to question rather than doubt so that you can gain the answers you need to continue on your path to wholeness.

Jewelry: Use silver or chrome in your rites.



Color of Clothing: Lavender, black or white.

Oils: Apricot, lemon, opium, orange and peach.

Herbs: Nutmeg, mandrake, chicory, burdock, ebony, rue.

Crystals: Opal, rutilated quartz, clear quartz, jet.

Protection Ritual: Light an incense of violet or use white color every Saturday.



Meditation:

1. Put yourself on the Mound of Wonders.

2. As you look to the west you see a rider on a pale horse: Rhiannon.

3. Call to her. Ask her to wait.

4. What does she say to you? Think of the grief, illness, or disappointment that you carry with you.

5. Give this to Rhiannon. She carries it away with Her. Watch as Rhiannon takes your grief/disappointment/illness/guilt and rides back into the west.

6. Let go of the negative energy.



7. Feel yourself lightened and protected in Rhiannon's white light. Body.

8. Take few white petals.

9. Think about the issue (loss, grief, disappointment, illness) that you wish to let go.

10. Focus any negative energies on the white petals. You might have one petal for each issue if you have more than one.

11. Place the petals in the bowl of water and chant: "Rhiannon comforts me in my time of grief/crisis/illness and gives me the strength to let go and move on. I now let go of _____________."

12. Self-blessing.

13. Raise the cone of power - imagine white light surrounding and filling.

14. Ground.

15. Open circle and hugs.

16. After the ritual is complete, the water from the bowl should be poured into the earth to be accepted and converted into growth and new life as all life returns and is reborn.

Rhiannon's Ritual of Love

1. Around the time of Beltane 1 st of May, go outdoors to a natural place where you won’t be disturbed. A place of fairies would be ideal!

2. Take with you a gift for Rhiannon.

3. Become comfortable, closing your eyes, centering and taking some deep breaths.

4. Be aware of your body and consciously relax all your muscles. Sit in silence for a few minutes.



5. Place your hands on the Earth directly, and say,

“Rhiannon, Queen of the Fey Folk,

White Mare Ancestor, Lady of Love,

I call to You from The Earth.”

Raise your hands upwards towards the sky and say,

“Rhiannon of the Birds, Rider Between the Worlds,

I call to You in Heaven”

6. Place your hands on your heart, feeling your entire body fill with love, and say,

“Rhiannon, Goddess of Sacred Union,

Goddess as Lover, my heart pours out to you,

And I call to You in Love,

Come unto me so I may know you in me”

7. Sit and feel Rhiannon’s love for awhile.

8. While you’re in this loving state, ask to be shown those parts of yourself you don’t love.

9. Take some time to think about what you really don’t like about yourself.

10. Let these parts flow through your mind, then see them sprout wings, as a golden bird and fly away from you.



11. Then visualize a beautiful pinkish white light surrounding you.

12. You hear the sound of hooves and feel the white mare’s breath on your neck.

13. Breathe in the light surrounding you into your body, mind and spirit, filling up completely.

14. As you come back to reality, see Rhiannon’s energy fade away and offer Her love and flowers from your heart.

15. Center and ground by growing roots into the Earth.

16. Before leaving, leave your gift for Rhiannon.

Working with the Energies of Goddess Rhiannon:

1. After the attunement to the energies of Goddess Rhiannon.

2. Put your hands in Gasho position and say: Goddess Rhiannon Energy Active! Thank you!
