2017 Competitive Grant Recipient Breakfast
On Thursday, October 26th we had the pleasure of holding our 2017 Competitive Grant Recipient Breakfast. We presented grants to eight local charitable organizations who are passionate about giving back to our community in specific ways. Kathryn Johnson opened the breakfast by thanking those in attendance for their work and care in the community through the song, "Thankful" by Josh Groban. On behalf of the JCCF Competitive Grant Committee, Sandy Vance presented a total of $10,000 in grants to Advocates for Children, Senior Resources of Jennings County, Jennings County Youth Foundation, Jennings County EDC, Purdue University/Purdue Extension, Jennings County Players, Saint Mary's Catholic School, and Jennings County Historical Society. In Celebration of our 10th Anniversary of Competitive Grants we gave all applicants an opportunity to win an additional $500.00 for their organizations. Purdue Extension, Reading Made Fun was the lucky winner of the drawing!
GIVING TUESDAY is on November 28th, 2017!!!
The Jennings County Community Foundation is proud to announce that we are participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. The Jennings County Community Foundation will be offering an additional 25% match to the fund for all money raised that day.
When many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving, consider kicking off the charitable season by giving to the fund of your choice through the Jennings County Community Foundation on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving with #GivingTuesday. The Jennings County Community Foundation has over 150 funds that have been created by donors to support the fields of community service, social service, education, and the arts.
Visit our website today www.jenningsfoundation.net to select the fund of your choice and pay online.

Why Give? This Christmas, give a gift that will last when Christmas decorations have long been taken down.
Give the gift of a donation to a fund in the Jennings County Community Foundation. This is the perfect year to donate to a loved one’s fund to show how much you care and how you are supportive of what is important to them. Look in our guide, choose the fund that you would like to donate to, tell us who you are honoring, and we will send them a card telling your loved one about your gift in their name. Donation Gifts are great for honoring a Spouse, Relative, Pastor, Teacher, Co-worker, Employer, Employee, Friend… anyone you care about.
Or start or add to your own fund. It is a great way to carry the “spirit of Christmas giving” throughout the year.
